After eight years of activity at its historic venue in Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni, in Piazza di Santa Trinita in Florence, the Casamonti Collection announces an important new chapter in its path of growth and development.

Since its foundation in 2018, the exhibition venue has welcomed thousands of visitors with the aim of becoming a point of reference for the promotion, appreciation, and dissemination of contemporary art.

The steady growth in visitor numbers, the expansion of its cultural activities, and the desire to offer an increasingly comprehensive visitor experience have made it necessary to identify a larger and more functional exhibition space. For this reason, the Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni venue officially closed to the public on July 1, 2026.

The Casamonti Collection is now opening a new chapter in its history with the inauguration of its new exhibition venue at Palazzo San Giorgio, on Lungarno Serristori in Florence, scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2026.

The new venue, with twice the exhibition space, will allow visitors to explore new exhibition routes and educational activities dedicated to modern and contemporary art.

The move represents a significant moment for the Collection: a step towards the future, while maintaining continuity and renewing its commitment to the promotion of art and culture.
